Compassion for
Campers,
the organization which supplied urgently needed cold weather survival
gear, other supplies, personal hygiene items, and non-perishable
food to the McHenry County unhoused and housing insecure,
will offer its last distribution for 2022 today at Willow Crystal
Lake, 100 South Main Street from 10am to 2am at Community
Resource Day.
Snow finally dusts the ground
and temperatures will plunge over the days leading to Christmas.
To sustain
this critical service next year, please consider making a generous donation
to Compassion for Campers while making your end of the tax year
qualifying donations. Gifts can
be made by sending a check made out to Tree of Life UU Congregation,

Compassion for
Campers is a ministry of Tree of Life, and all funds are held in a separate,
secure account that can’t be used for any other purpose. The congregation provides donates all administrative
costs meaning that 100% of all funds raised go directly to client
service—the best bang for your charity bucks.

Coloring books and crayons for the
children we have been seeing
Rope for tent tie downs

Non aspirin pain relievers
Canned tuna or chicken
nail trimmers
back packs/ cloth tote bags
Wrapped toilet paper rolls
Paper towels

can be dropped off at the Church or at the home of Compassion for
Campers coordinator Patrick Murfin at 522 West Terra Cotta Avenue (IL
