Compassion for Campers Wraps Up Year and Appeals for Help Continuing the Work

Compassion for Campers, the organization which supplied urgently needed cold weather survival gear, other supplies, personal hygiene items, and non-perishable food to the McHenry County unhoused and housing insecure, will offer its last distribution for 2022 today at Willow Crystal Lake, 100 South Main Street from 10am to 2am at Community Resource Day.

Snow finally dusts the ground and temperatures will plunge over the days leading to Christmas.

Homeless for Christmas.  You can help.

To sustain this critical service next year, please consider making a generous donation to Compassion for Campers while making your end of the tax year qualifying donations.  Gifts can be made by sending a check made out to Tree of Life UU Congregation, 5603 Bull Valley Road, McHenry, IL 60050 with Compassion for Campers on the memo line or donate on-line at https://treeoflifeuu.breezechms.com/give/online .

Compassion for Campers is a ministry of Tree of Life, and all funds are held in a separate, secure account that can’t be used for any other purpose.  The congregation provides donates all administrative costs meaning that 100% of all funds raised go directly to client service—the best bang for your charity bucks.
