Note—The Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week has been inspiring and motivating but when his first appeared during the 2020 Republican Convention things were much grimmer. The crickets are singing again.
This verse erupted after stepping out my back door at 1:30 am on a close, muggy night. I tried my best to keep from being over-exposed to the Trumpista hate fest, but it kept creeping in on newscasts and social media. No wonder I was restless. Surrealism anyone?

plot catastrophe
and revenge.
Buddy’s backup band
chirps the exit music..
