Anti-ICE and Military Occupation Protests. ICE/Border Patrol/Secret Police continue aggressive patrolling and kidnappings and continue to use gas, pepper balls, and violence indiscriminately in neighborhood and near schools. The Border Patrol satrap who virtually dared the court to try to enforce its orders is reportedly leaving with his agency’s personnel this week but ICE and other Federal police will continue aggressive enforcement. Daily protests continue at the Broadview receiving/detention center, in and around the Loop, and in communities across the region. In McHenry County this week there was a kidnapping from the parking lot of County Court House and activity has been reported in McHenry, Marengo, Harvard, and Cary as well. FaithBridge Interfaith Thanksgiving Program, Welcoming the Stranger: We Are All Immigrants will be held on Sunday, November 23 at 4 pm at the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake, 461 Pierson Street in Crystal Lake. Teaching from Muslim, Jewish, Budhist, and Christian communities will honor Native Americans. Donations of food staples and cash donations for the Crystal Lake and Woodstock food pantries are requested. Following the program will be Hospitality and Fellowship.
