Monster-ously Good Auction
Members of the Tree of Life
Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5603
West Bull Valley Road in McHenry, will have a Monster-ously Good Auction tonight Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 7 to 10 pm.
“Ghosts, goblins, and ghoulies still hanging
around from Halloween will be
looking for bargains,” according to Dave
Ayres, chair of the congregation’s Stewardship
Committee. “We have great offers of
personal and business services, meals, get-a-ways, and tickets to theaters and
sporting events for sale in the silent auction and valuable items including a vintage
Brunswick Panatrope circa 1923, hand
crafted jewelry, a quilted wall hanging, many works of decorative and fine art,
and other merchandise in the open bid sale.”
In addition to the silent and open auctions,
the evening will include live musical entertainment by the Frothy Boys and others and refreshments. Kids will conduct their own auction of items
they bring from home or which have been donated using play money. A fun and age appropriate movie will also be
shown.
Admission is free to the public. Costumes are optional, but add to the fun.
There is plenty of parking.
