It’s
time to take a stand for America
There
are few missions more important than the struggle to end hunger in America. The
economic crisis that began in 2008 has caused a dramatic increase in poverty
and hunger. One in seven families in the U.S. face a daily struggle finding
enough to eat, and nearly 50 million Americans live in poverty. It's an
enormous problem.
The
fight for economic and social justice will not end in our lifetimes, but we
cannot let that be an excuse not to act wherever and whenever we can.
In
addition to supporting Democratic candidates, we must be leaders in public
service. That's why we we are delighted to recognize the exceptional volunteer
work being done by members of the McHenry County Building Trades Council to
create a new home for the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Food Pantry. Please
